• WPU recording news: Allright, Thrashers! The album "Anthems Of Resistance" is now out worldwide for some weeks and we´re not sitting here sipping on champagne and being lazy. Press feedback has been very well for this one and lots of people (exept some jealous lowlifes in our Styrian capitol) have told us nice stuff about bringing back a glimpse of real Thrash into this MTV-infested media scene anno 2007.
Over the last months, we have already started with the pre-production of the new album , which is yet untitled (just call it "Lessons In Integrity " meanwhile ;) , with abolutely no release or final recording date set. But what we can tell you is that it will kick ass again - I could ramble on about getting "heavier and faster" but I leave that up to every other fucking band on this planet ;) A better way to describe my new WPU songs is "less melodic", and I can gurantee that this time we will unleash a full assault of insane riffs again, with "heroic", harsh vocals and precise drumming. Just imagine WPU sounding a bit more "Exodus" than "Megadeth" this time - and NO - no stolen riffs! On the other hand, Karl also has written his first songs for the band, and they sound killer, melodic Thrash defined with lots of leads and harmonies, like Arch Enemy covering Testament. So we´ll have a cool combination of everything and for sure no faggy emo or screamo parts. Speed goes up to 260 bpm this time, but never just for the sake of being the fastest.
So when will this shit be finished? Totally TBA, since first: we have to see if our contract is prolonged (buying the album helps to persuade Napalm ;) 2nd) we record all the basics at home 3) we don´t have lyrics for all the fun 4) perfection takes time ;) I drop in "end of 2008" here.
Some working titles : "Battlefield 1945", "Children Soldiers", "Rise and Fall", "Pariah" , "Thrash Metal Victory", "Chapter of Deliverance".
